Join textile designer Millie Rothera for a morning of crafting your own lampshade and cushion! You will explore using a sewing machine and using a kit to create your lamp, All skills that you can continue developing at home.

For this workshop you will need to provide your own fabric that will suite your home perfectly. You will need to purchase 1 meter of a mid weight fabric, please get in touch and Millie can suggest fabrics and where to purchase them.

Alternativly, Millies fabrics will be available to use at this workshop at an extra cost of £30. This will be paid on the day. If you love bold and bright, Modernist inspired fabric then you might be in luck! Please see images below to choose from. You can include your fabric choice at checkout. If purchasing your ticket less than a week befor the workshop your fabric choice may not be available.

You will create a 20cm drum lampshade, ideal for a table lamp, and 30cm x 40cm cushion with envelope opening.

Participants will be shown demonstrations as well as have guided one-to-one help and advice on how to achieve the best results.

The workshop will involve:

· Cutting your fabric to size

· Constricting your own pendant lampshade

· Learn how to use a sewing machine

· Sew up your own matching cushion

Skill level:

Beginner- no sewing experience necessary.
